Meet Alyssa 🌸 a bubbly shines dancer currently in our Intermediate Solo classes.
How did you get into learning Salsa and Bachata in Singapore?
I guess it was because I used to watch my dad dance at home. He does different types of dances including Rumba and Salsa. I always thought that my uncoordinated self would not be able to do it, so I had to try it to find out.
What is your favourite dance class and why?
My favourite dance class so far is Salsa. I think it is more fast paced, exciting and challenging. I like the songs and the movements and I always end up breaking into a sweat.
What do you enjoy the most about dancing Salsa and Bachata?
I will have to say .. the music and feeling like I'm in my own world for just a moment. After a long day at work, dancing is now something that I look forward to.
What reasons will you give to someone to start learning how to dance Salsa and Bachata?
1. It is super fun! (It helps you to relief stress and produce endorphins >.<)
2. Great workout
3. Builds confidence
4. Activity that you can do by yourself, with friends or your partner
5. I think the environment in this studio is super positive and there is no reason to fear making mistakes

I'm sure there are actual Spanish songs that I prefer more but because I cannot remember the name... and Havana by Camila Cabello, DJ Tronky remix
