Caliente Salsa and Bachata Student Spotlight - Abby

Today, let us introduce to you one of our Salsa and Bachata dancer 😍❤️‍🔥

Meet Abby!

Tell us a little about yourself!

I am Abby!

I like to learn new things and being active. Dancing is my new hobby, it brings so much joy to my life.

How did you get into learning Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk dance in Singapore?

After I ended a 16years relationship, I started to have more time for myself. I decided to step out of my comfort zone to try something that I had always wanted to learn since a long time ago- dancing!

I was searching for dance schools and saw dancing videos on Facebook from Caliente Dance Studio. I tried most of their dance classes and Latin social dance night during their Open House in October 2022. I like the clean and spacious studio and professional instructors. Totally love it and I stayed till now, still in love with it. Best decision I have made and I have so much fun here. I am still not very good at counting steps and all the moves, always confuse my partners. Hahaha🤪 I will there one day, meanwhile I will just dance with all my heart, enjoy the music and the moment!❤️

What is your favourite dance class and why?

I like partner social dance classes. If I have to choose one, that definitely will be Bachata! It is slower pace and more sensual compared to Salsa, and it is such a romantic dance! I would like to try their solo dance classes and Brazilian Zouk dance classes too when time permits.

What do you enjoy the most about dancing Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk?

It makes you forget about everything once you start dancing, only the experience of pure happiness. Just being yourself and enjoy the moment, there is only you, dancing and music.

What reasons will you give to someone to start learning how to dance Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk?

Don't stress about all the steps and moves. Just relax and have fun! Feel young, beautiful, sexy and alive!

Which Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk song do you like the most?

Lao’ a lao’ by Prince Royce

Paris by Pinto Picasso
