Caliente Instructor Program
Every Sunday 5:30pm-7:30pm
Starts Sunday July 10th, till Sunday September 4th (Break on Sunday 7th August)

Program Schedule:
As part of the program the Trainee will need to take Caliente Solo and Partner Dance Level 3 Classes. Class credits assigned are specifically for this level.

In addition to the classes, the Trainee must attend the 8 sessions of the Teacher training program with Ali, assisted by Janey and Rosanna.
Pre-requisites:

Comfortable dancing Salsa and Bachata, both Solo and Partner Dance at Level 4 (Caliente Level) or similar level in other dance studio in Singapore and around the world. Please contact us if you need an assessment.
The following will be covered during the Instructor Training Program over 16 hours (8 weeks, 2 hours each).
Schedule:
Session 1: Introduction and General Information – 2Hrs
Introduction to Caliente Dance Studio, history, culture, and purpose.
Explanation of the Instructor Program.
Brief History of Salsa dance and Bachata dance.
What is Solo Dance, Social Dance and Performance Training at Caliente Dance Studio.
Instructor commitment and expectations at Caliente Dance Studio.
Caliente Dance Studio Instructor Values.
Session 2: Syllabus Explanation – 2Hrs
Salsa Solo Dance Level 1, 2 and 3
Session 3: Syllabus Explanation – 2Hrs
Bachata Solo Dance Level 1, 2 and 3
Session 4: Teaching Solo Class with practice – 2Hrs
Class admin, Time management, Communication (voice/counts) during class, Student management
Trainee will practice teaching techniques with their peers.
1 Week Break
Session 5: Syllabus Explanation – 2Hrs
Salsa Partner Dance Level 1, 2 and 3
Session 6: Syllabus Explanation – 2Hrs
Bachata Partner Dance Level 1, 2 and 3
Session 7: Teaching Partner Dance with practice – 2Hrs
Class admin, Time management, Voice, counting during class, Student management, lead and follow teaching
Trainee will practice teaching techniques with their peers.
Session 8: Graduation – 2Hrs
Exam, each Trainee will teach 2 moves to the rest of the class and will be assessed.
Certificate of completion.
Completion based on:
Complete 80% of Solo Class Level 3 and 80% Partner Dance Class Level 3
Complete 100% Instructor Training Program classes (8 Sessions)
At the end of the Instructor Program, selected Trainees will be officially invited to join Caliente Dance Studio as a Dance Instructor Trainee, and will be given a chance to join our awesome team.
